Khailani is a melodic modern name drawing its soul from two pillars of Hawaiian vocabulary: kai, meaning sea or ocean, and lani, meaning heaven, sky, or royal. Together they conjure an image of the horizon where the Pacific meets the sky — a meeting point Hawaiians have long considered sacred and spiritually charged.
